I think that it is great when musicians, along with people of other occupations, continue their work as much as they can in spite of an illness. I think that continuing to work shows that a person is fighting the disease and keeping a positive attitude. With Seiji Ozawa, although many of his performances had to be canceled, it seems like he is still fighting his cancer and conducting when he can.
I can't believe that Mr. Ozawa has been working with music for more than 40 years. It takes a lot of dedication and interest to spend more than half of your life with music. It is really sad that he has cancer. Hope he gets well so that he can continue to show more music to the world.
